The Jaffna Regional Youths held their annual gathering on February 3rd, 2024, at Tellippalai Church under the leadership of Youth Coordinator, Mr. R. Sujanthan. The event united young people from across the region featuring a variety of activities designed to foster connection and learning. Participants engaged in group events, informative seminars, and engaging games, creating a dynamic and interactive atmosphere.
Following a delicious lunch, the focus shifted to the future with the election of the new committee of youths. The event concluded with a spirit of gratitude as the former secretary and treasurer were presented with commemorative gifts in appreciation of their dedicated service. Discussions then turned towards planning the upcoming year's youth activities, ensuring a continued sense of purpose and engagement. The gathering was overseen by the Regional Chairperson, Rev. M. D. Paulsuresh, further emphasizing the importance of spiritual guidance within the youth ministry. Additionally, Rev. J. Antony Suthagar and Rev. J. Gnanapiragasam added their presence and support to the event.
It's noteworthy that the Jaffna Regional Youth actively uses social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube. They've consistently published original content, including special songs, faith-based reflections for both regular and Lenten seasons, and even poetry collections, all in celebration of international days. This creativity serves to inspire and connect with a wider audience.
