Highlights of 2023
The Beginning
Formerly, evening classes and pre-school were conducted at the location of Vishnu Kovil Road, Periyaneelavanai. Then our Hermans Girls Home was started with 3 officers and 30 children by Mr. Herman Van der Weerd in the year 2000 and he himself was a sponsor for the children. This building was damaged by tsunami on 26th December 2004 and a new building was constructed in the premises of St. Andrew’s Church, where we are operating at present. This building was declared opened by Rev. Jeyanesan on 8th August 2005 and dedicated by Mr. Herman van der Weerd.
