The 20th anniversary of St. Andrew's Church was a joyous occasion filled with spiritual renewal and a celebration of the church's enduring role in the community. The festivities began on August 9th, 2024, with the church adorned in decorations, creating a vibrant atmosphere in anticipation of the anniversary.
On August 10th, a communion service was held at 4:30 PM, setting the stage for the main celebration on August 11th. The 11th began with a Holy Communion service at 7:30 AM, a solemn ceremony led by parish priest of the church Rev. John. S. Puviyarasan, Rev. J. Antony Suthagar, parish priest of Navaly CACM church and Former secretary of CACM and Rev. Nevil Rubaraj, Parish priest of Iraalodai CACM church and the interim regional chairperson of the Eastern region.
The congregation, numbering around 200, comprised a beautiful mix of young and elderly members. Notably, the service saw participation from neighboring churches, highlighting the spirit of unity and fellowship within the wider Christian community.Following the service, a joyous event unfolded – the cutting of an icing cake to commemorate the 20th anniversary. This celebratory act was followed by a fellowship tea.
The afternoon saw a thought-provoking bible study led by Rev. J. Antony Suthagar. His discourse centered on the powerful story of the woman suffering from blood hemorrhage for twelve years who found healing by touching the hem of Jesus' garment. Rev. J. Antony Suthagar eloquently explained how Jesus not only cured her physically but also elevated her social status, granting her a new identity within society. The impact of the bible study was profound. Several individuals were moved to accept Jesus Christ into their lives. Others expressed a desire for holy bibles, and some even requested prayer in their homes.
Following the insightful bible study, the focus shifted towards the younger generation. Rev. M. Luke John engaged the children in games directly connected to biblical themes
The celebration continued with the much-anticipated release of the church's third edition songbook. This new resource, designed to strengthen the faith of its members, was introduced by Rev. M. Luke John and officially released by Rev. J. Antony Suthagar. The arrival of the songbook promised a renewed focus on uplifting music within the congregation.Beyond spiritual enrichment, the church demonstrated its commitment to social well-being. A touching moment unfolded as five individuals in need received dry food packages, a thoughtful gesture highlighting the church's dedication to its community.
As the day progressed, the focus shifted to the future. The church secretary led a general meeting, offering a concise history of St. Andrew's Church by the secretary. Through prayer and open discussion, members actively participated in shaping the church's trajectory for the coming years.Key decisions emerged from the meeting, all centered on strengthening the church's impact within the community. These included:
- Establishing prayer groups in neighboring villages: A dedication to spreading faith beyond the church walls and nurturing a wider spiritual network.
- Prioritizing Jesus Christ: A reaffirmation of the church's central beliefs and its commitment to serving as a beacon of Christian faith.
- Empowering youth: A strategic investment in the future by fostering a strong, faith-oriented youth program.
- Building pillars for the future: Equipping Sunday school children with the values of Christ, shaping them into future leaders within the church.
Following the meeting, the former secretary of the church shared heartfelt wishes, and other priests offered their congratulatory remarks. Rev. Mathuranayagam delivered a closing prayer and blessing, imbuing the celebratory day with a sense of spiritual renewal. The festivities culminated in a delicious lunch served to all attendees. By 2:00 pm, the 20th-anniversary celebration came to a heartwarming close, leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.
தூய அந்திரேயா ஆலயத்தின் இருபதாவது ஆண்டு நிறைவு விழா மிகச் சிறப்பாகத் தூய அந்திரேயா ஆலயத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இந்த ஆண்டுவிழாவை முன்னிட்டு 09.08.2024ம் திகதி வெள்ளிக்கிழமை ஆலய வளாகத்தை அழகுபடுத்தும் செயற்பாடு நடைபெற்றது. அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து 10.08.2024ம் திகதி சனிக்கிழமை பிற்பகல் 4.30 மணிக்கு தூய நற்கருணை வழிபாடு நடைபெற்றது.
11.08.2024ம் திகதி விழா நிகழ்வுகள் காலை 7.30 மணிக்கு தூய நற்கருணை வழிபாட்டுடன் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த நற்கருணை வழிபாட்டைத் தூய அந்திரேயா ஆலயத்தின் சபைக்குருவான அருட்பணி. எஸ். ஜோன் புவியரசன் அவர்களுடன் நவாலித் திருச்சபையின் குருவானவரும் முன்னாள் அமெரிக்கன் சிலோன் மிசன் செயலாளருமான அருட்பணி. ஜே. அன்ரனி சுதாகர் அவர்களும் சி.ஏ.சி.எம் இன் கிழக்குப் பிராந்திய இடைக்கால தலைவரும் இறாலோடைக் குருவானவருமான அருட்பணி. நிவில் ரூபராஜ் ஆகியோர் இணைந்து நடாத்தினர்.
இறைசெய்தியை அருட்பணி. ஜே. அன்ரனி சுதாகர் அவர்கள் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார். வழிபாட்டில் பெரியவர்கள் உட்பட சிறுவர்களுடன் ஏறத்தாழ 200க்கும் மேற்பட்டவர்கள்; கலந்துகொண்டு சிறப்பித்தனர். அதேநேரத்தில் அருகில் உள்ள சகோதர திருச்சபை விசுவாசிகளும் இதில் கலந்துகொண்டது விசேட அம்சமாகும். இவ்வழிபாட்டைத் தொடர்ந்து இருபதாவது ஆண்டை நிறைவுசெய்யும் முகமாக கேக் வெட்டும் நிகழ்வு நடைபெற்றதுடன் தேநீர் விருந்தும் அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து திருமறைப்படிப்பும் நடைபெற்றது.
இத்திருமறைப் படிப்பினை அருட்பணி. ஜே. அன்ரனி சுதாகர் அவர்கள் நடத்தினார். திருமறைபடிப்பு மக்களுக்கு மிகவும் அர்த்தமுள்ளதாகவும் ஆழமான விசுவாச அறிவைப் பெருக்குவதாகவும்; அமைந்தது. இந்தத் திருமறைப்படிப்பில் 12 வருடங்களாக இரத்தப்போக்குடைய பெண் எப்படி இயேசுவின் ஆடையைத் தொட்டு சுகம் அடைந்தார் என்பதுடன் அந்தப் பெண்ணுக்கு எப்படியான சமுக அந்தஸ்தை இயேசு கொடுத்தார் என்பதனையும் குருவானவர் விளக்கியிருந்தார். அதே நேரத்தில் அவருக்கான புதிய வாழ்வைச் சக மனிதர் முன் இயேசு வழங்கினார் என்பதையும் அவர் விளக்கமாகப் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டார். அருட்பணி. ஜே. அன்ரனி சுதாகர் அவர்களுடைய இந்தத் திருமறைபடிப்பின் மூலமாகப் புதிதாக வந்த சிலர் ஆண்டவரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர். அதேநேரத்தில் புதிதாக வந்த பலர் எங்களிடம் இயேசுவை மென்மேலும் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்படி பரிசுத்த வேதாகமத்தைத் தமக்கும் தரும்படி கேட்டுக் கொண்டனர். மேலும் தங்கள் இல்லங்களுக்கு வந்து ஜெபிக்கும்படியும் கேட்டுக்கொண்டனர்.
திருமறைப்படிப்பைத் தொடர்ந்து பிள்ளைகளுக்கான திருமறை விளையாட்டுக்கள் நடைபெற்றன. திருமறை சார்ந்த அறிவார்ந்த விளையாட்டுக்களை அருட்பணி. எம். லூக் ஜோன் போதகர் வழிநடத்தினார்.
அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து புனித அந்திரேயா திருச்சபையினால் மூன்றாவது பதிப்பாக திருச்சபையினடைய தேவைகருதி திருச்சபைப் பாவனைக்கும் திருச்சபை மக்களுடைய விசுவாசவாழ்வைக் கட்டியெழுப்பும் நோக்கத்துடனும் திருச்சபைப் பாடல் தொகுப்புப்புத்தகம் ஒன்று வெளியீடு செய்யப்பட்டது. இப்பாடல் புத்தகத்தினை அருட்பணி. எம் லூக் ஜோன் போதகர் அறிமுகம் செய்து வைக்க, அருட்பணி. ஜே. அன்ரனி சுதாகர் அவர்கள் வெளியீட்டுவைத்தார்.
பின்னர் ஆண்டுவிழாவை ஒட்டி ஐந்து பயனாளிகளுக்கு உலர் உணவுப்பொதிகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன. தொடர்ந்து திருச்சபையினுடைய பொதுக்கூட்டம் ஆரம்பமானது. இப் பொதுக்கூட்டத்திலே திருச்சபையின் வரலாறு திருச்சபையின் செயலாளரினால் மிகச் சுருக்கமாகப் பகிரப்பட்டது. இவ்வறிக்கையிலே அடுத்த வருடத்திலே பின்வரும் பணிகளைச் செய்ய இருப்பதாக திருச்சபை விசுவாசிகள் ஜெபத்துடன் தீர்மானத்தினை எடுத்தனர். அவையாவன,
•கிராமங்கள் தோறும் ஜெபக்குழுக்களை அமைத்து ஜெபித்து ஆத்துமாக்களை அறுவடைசெய்தல்
•எமதுசபையை இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் சுவிசேசத்தைச் சுமந்துசெல்லும் சபையாகமாற்றுதல் அதற்காக அரும்பாடுபட்டு உழைத்தல் மற்றும் அதற்காகக் கடுமையாக ஜெபித்தல்.

இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து எமது திருச்சபையின் முன்னாள் பொருளாளர் வி. சுகுமாரன் அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துச்செய்தி கூறினார். தொடர்ந்து ஆண்டுவிழாவில் கலந்துகொண்ட குருவானவர்களின் வாழ்த்துச் செய்தியுடன் இறுதியாக அருட்பணி மதுரநாயகம் போதகர் அவர்களின் ஜெபத்துடனும் ஆசீர்வாதத்துடனும் அனைத்து நிகழ்வுகளும் இனிதே நிறைவடைந்தன. இறுதியாக அனைவருக்கும் சுவையான ஜக்கிய மதிய உணவுபரிமாறப்பட்டது. பிற்பகல் 2.00 மணியளவில் பக்தி பூர்வமாக அனைத்து நிகழ்வுகளும் இறைவனின் ஆசீர்வாதத்துடன் நிறைவுக்கு கொண்டுவரப்பட்டன.
