Rev. Krishnapillai Andrew Jeyanantham, a minister serving in the Church of the American Ceylon Mission, completed 25 years of ordained ministry in 2026. In recognition of his faithful and dedicated service to God, a special felicitation ceremony was held on 29 May 2026 during the second session of the 14th Annual General Assembly of the Church of the American Ceylon Mission at the Auditorium of the Christian Theological Seminary.
In the presence of more than 120 church representatives and clergy members attending the Assembly, Rev. Andrew Jeyanantham was honoured with a garland and a ceremonial shawl presented by the Vice President of the Church. He was also presented with a commemorative plaque by the Chairperson of the Church in appreciation of his valuable contribution to Christian ministry.
Rev. Andrew Jeyanantham was born in the Kalmunai region of the Eastern Province. He is the son of Mr. Ganapathipillai Krishnapillai and Mrs. Jeyamani Krishnapillai and has two brothers and four sisters. Born on 31 January 1962, he belongs to the Kalmunai Methodist Church.
He received his education at Wesley High School, Kalmunai. He subsequently served in ministry for seven years alongside his elder brother, Rev. Jeevaratnam, affectionately known as “Kiran Jeevan.” During this period, he ministered through the “Full Gospel New Life Centre” in Anaikoddai. Sensing God's call to further theological training, he enrolled at the Christian Theological Seminary, Maruthanarmadam, in 1997. There he successfully completed the Diploma in Theology and the Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) degree.
Rev. Andrew Jeyanantham commenced his pastoral ministry on 1 May 2001 in the Araly congregation. He served in Araly from 2001 to 2003, followed by appointments in Erlalai South (2003–2007), Pandaterippu (2007–2014), Araly (2014–2018), Tellippalai (2018–2022), and Sathiyapuram (2018 to the present).
While serving in Erlalai South, he received ordination on 16 September 2007 at St. John’s Church, Oorani, Batticaloa.
Rev. Andrew Jeyanantham married Miss Milka Mainavathy Gunaratnam of Udupiddy Church, who has been his faithful partner in life and ministry. God has blessed them with two daughters, Vasthi Andrew Jeyanandam and Gnanasthi Andrew Jeyanandam.
As he celebrates twenty-five years of devoted ministry, the Church gratefully acknowledges his faithful service, commitment to the Gospel, and significant contribution to the growth and witness of the Church. May God continue to bless and strengthen him in the years ahead.
அமெரிக்கன் சிலோன் மிசன் திருச்சபையின் அருட்பணியாளராகப் பணிபுரிந்து வரும் அருட்பணியாளர் கிருஷ்ணபிள்ளை அன்றூ ஜெயானந்தம் அவர்கள் இவ்வருடம் (2026) இறைபணியில் 25 வருடங்களை நிறைவு செய்திருக்கிறார். இவருடைய இறைபணியினைக் கௌரவிக்கும் நிகழ்வு 29 மே 2026 அன்று கிறிஸ்தவ இறையியற் கல்லூரியின் கேட்போர் கூடத்தில் நடைபெற்ற அமெரிக்கன் சிலோன் மிசன் திருச்சபையின் 14வது வருடாந்த பேரவை கூட்டத் தொடரின் இரண்டாம் நாள் அமர்வின் போது முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டது. பேரவைக் கூட்டத்தில் கலந்து கொண்ட 120க்கும் மேற்பட்ட திருச்சபை பிரதிநிதிகள் மற்றும் அருட்பணியாளர்கள் மத்தியில் அருட்பணியாளர் அன்றூ ஜெயானந்தம் அவர்கள் திருச்சபையின் உப தலைவர் அவர்களால் மாலை அணிவிக்கப்பட்டும் பொன்னாடை போர்க்கப்பட்டும் கௌரவிக்கப் பட்டதோடு, திருச்சபைத் தலைவர் அவர்களால் நினைவுச் சின்னமும் வழங்கியும் கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டார்.
அருட்பணி. அன்றூ ஜெயானந்தம் அவர்கள் கிழக்கு மாகாணத்தில் கல்முனைப் பகுதியை பிறப்பிடமாகக் கொண்டவர். தாயார் திருமதி ஜெயமணி கிருஷ்ணபிள்ளை, தந்தையார் திரு. கணபதிப்பிள்ளை கிருஷ்ணபிள்ளை இவருக்கு 02 சகோதரர்களும் 04 சகோதரிகளும் உள்ளனர். 31.01.1962 இல் பிறந்த இவர் கல்முனை மெதடிஸ்த திருச்சபையைத் தாய் திருச்சபையாய் கொண்டவர்.
கல்முனை “வெஸ்லி” உயர்தரப் பாடசாலையில் கல்வி பயின்ற இவர் தன்னுடைய சகோதரன் முறையான “கிரான் ஜீவன்” என்று அழைக்கப்பட்ட அருட்பணி ஜீவரட்ணம் அவர்களுடன் ஏழு வருட இறைபணியாற்றினார். இவ்வாறு ஆனைக்கோட்டையில் “நிறைவான புதுவாழ்வு நிலையம்” என்னும் திருச்சபை அமைப்பில் பணியாற்றிய இவர் தொடர்ந்து இறைபணியில் இறையியல் பயிற்சி கொள்ளும் பொருட்டு 1997 ஆம் ஆண்டு மருதனார்மடம் கிறிஸ்தவ இறையியற் கல்லூரியில் இணைந்து கொண்டார். அங்கு இறையியல் டிப்ளோமா(Dip. In Theology) மற்றும் இளம் இறையியல்மாணி(B.Th) பட்டங்களை பெற்று இறையியல் கல்வியை நிறைவு செய்த இவர் 2001 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் முதலாம் திகதி தன்னுடைய இறைபணியை அராலித் திருச்சபையில் ஆரம்பித்தார். 2001 - 2003 காலப் பகுதியில் அராலியில் பணியாற்றிய இவர் பின்பு ஏழாலை தெற்கு (2003 – 2007), பண்டத்தரிப்பு (2007 – 2014) அராலி (2014 - 2018, தெல்லிப்பளை (2018 – 2022), சத்தியபுரம் (2018 - இன்றுவரை) ஆகிய பணிகளங்களில் பணியாற்றினார். இவர் ஏழாலை தெற்கு திருச்சபையில் இறைபணியாற்றும் போது இவர் 16.09.2007ம் ஆண்டு மட்டக்களப்பு ஊறணி, தூய. யோவான் ஆலயத்தில் நடைபெற்ற குருத்துவ அபிஷேக வழிபாட்டில் அபிஷேகத்தினைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்.
இவர் தன்னுடைய வாழ்வுக்கும் இறைவனுக்கும் துணையாக உடுப்பிட்டித் திருச்சபையைச் சேர்ந்த செல்வி. மில்கா மைனாவதி குணரட்ணம் என்பவரைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டார். இவர்களுக்கு வஸ்தி அன்றூ ஜெயானந்தம், ஞானஸ்தி அன்றூ ஜெயானந்தம் என்னும் இரு பெண் பிள்ளைகளைக் கொடுத்து கடவுள் ஆசிர்வதித்துள்ளார்.
